Prayer
Every year, during MahaShivratri, I make it a tradition to stay awake the entire night, dedicating myself to a creative world. It's not just a ritual; it feels like an offering to the divine.
That night, I decided to create something truly meaningful, something that would resonate with the immense power and grace of Lord Shiva. In the silence of the night, with only the sound of my hands working the clay, I began shaping the Trishul, the iconic weapon of Lord Shiva. Each stroke of my fingers felt like an invocation, each layer of clay sculpted with care and devotion.
As the hours passed, the Trishul slowly began to take form, but something inside me told me it needed something more. The middle prong, the one that is said to hold the divine power, needed to be special. I decided to make it different. Instead of solid clay, I left the middle pointer of the Trishul almost ethereal, like it was inspired with an immaterial power. It stood as if a symbol of strength that transcended the physical.
By dawn, the Trishul was complete. It felt alive, filled with a quiet, but immense force. As I looked at it, a deep peace washed over me, knowing that, in my small way, I had made something to honor HIM. Every stroke of finger, every line of the texture, was a whisper of devotion, a prayer in the form of art.
