The Roots

Growing up in Santiniketan, West Bengal, surrounded by rich cultural heritage and artistic influences, it’s no surprise that my journey to pottery and ceramics was a natural one. Drawn to the art form from a young age, I always had a fascination with the process of molding clay into something beautiful.

My educational background in chemistry honours from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and a postgraduate B.Tech and M.Tech in polymer science and technology from Calcutta University, followed by a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, took me on a different path. But, my passion for clay never faded, and eventually made the decision to pursue this passion full-time. The transition was not easy, but I was driven by a deep passion for creativity. The peaceful and mindful process of creating something beautiful from a simple material such as clay brought a sense of serenity and tranquillity to my life. Each piece I creates is a reflection of my journey and the fulfillment that comes with pursuing my passion.
